Industrial IT – integrating data, systems, and manufacturing processes

Modern manufacturing requires an efficient flow of information between machines, control systems, logistics, warehouse operations, and business software. AIUT designs and implements Industrial IT solutions that integrate these areas into one coherent environment.

We integrate plant systems, develop dedicated software, and create interfaces that enable data acquisition and exchange. We deliver solutions that support production management, quality, product traceability, internal logistics, and autonomous transport.

As an industrial systems integrator, AIUT combines software engineering expertise with experience in automation, robotics, and intralogistics. This allows us to create Industrial IT solutions designed for real manufacturing processes and the challenges of modern plants.

Our systems support digital transformation by integrating data, systems, and processes across the manufacturing facility.

IT and OT systems integration

We help integrate the production layer with enterprise management systems. We design data exchange architecture between machines, controllers, devices, databases, production systems, and logistics systems.

We create communication interfaces and integrate new solutions with existing infrastructure. We focus on data consistency and the scalability of IT and OT environments, enabling their further development.

Scope of IT/OT integration

  • integration of IT systems used in the plant,
  • integration of IT systems with industrial automation systems,
  • data acquisition from machines, devices, and control systems,
  • design of interfaces and data exchange mechanisms,
  • development of dedicated industrial applications,
  • integration with higher-level systems, databases, and analytics solutions.

MES systems – production control and management

We implement MES systems that support planning, monitoring, and analysis of manufacturing processes. These solutions provide ongoing access to current information about order execution, resource use, downtime, quality, and production performance.

Each system is designed with the manufacturing processes, existing infrastructure, and plant standards in mind, enabling effective adaptation to the specific needs of the enterprise.

MES functional scope

  • recording and monitoring the course of production,
  • handling production orders,
  • analyzing the performance of machines and production lines,
  • reporting downtime and analyzing its causes,
  • monitoring material consumption,
  • integration with ERP systems and the automation layer,
  • data visualization and results reporting.

Traceability – full production traceability

We create traceability systems that enable tracking of materials, components, process parameters, and finished products across all stages of the manufacturing process.

These solutions provide full product traceability by connecting each item with its production history. They support nonconformity analysis, complaint handling, and documentation of quality and process history.

Traceability systems may include

  • identification of raw materials, components, and finished products,
  • recording process parameters,
  • tracking material flow,
  • assigning completed operations to a specific batch or product,
  • collecting full production history,
  • generating reports and quality documentation,
  • integration with measuring devices, MES systems, and ERP.

Quality control systems

We design software that supports quality control at individual stages of the manufacturing process. The system can automatically acquire measurement results, verify parameter compliance with requirements, and signal deviations from defined values.

Depending on the needs, the solution can support recording inspection results, handling tests, analyzing quality trends, managing nonconformities, and reporting and archiving quality data.

Depending on requirements, the solution may include

  • recording inspection results,
  • automatic product compliance assessment,
  • handling tests and measurement processes,
  • analysis of trends and quality indicators,
  • nonconformity management,
  • blocking further flow of products that do not meet quality requirements,
  • reporting and archiving quality data.

WCS – automated warehouse management

We deliver WCS systems responsible for controlling material flow in automated warehouses. The software coordinates the operation of internal transport equipment and warehouse automation, and executes tasks passed from higher-level systems.

We integrate WCS with warehouse automation, WMS and ERP systems, and solutions responsible for internal transport management, ensuring consistent information flow and full synchronization of logistics processes.

WCS can manage, among others

  • storage and retrieval machines,
  • conveyor systems,
  • shuttle systems,
  • loading and receiving stations,
  • transport of pallets, containers, and components,
  • material flow between the warehouse and production.

AMR systems integration

We integrate autonomous mobile robots with production and logistics processes. We ensure data exchange between the AMR fleet, machines, production lines, the warehouse, and MES, WCS, WMS, and ERP systems.

Through integration, autonomous transport becomes a natural element of the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth collaboration between automation, internal logistics, and enterprise IT systems.

Integration may include

  • automatic generation of transport orders,
  • transferring information about material availability,
  • handling pickup and delivery of loads,
  • synchronizing robots with machines and production lines,
  • data exchange with production and warehouse systems,
  • monitoring transport order execution,
  • managing exceptions and emergency situations.

Software configuration and version management

In an industrial environment, stability and change control have a direct impact on production continuity. That is why we support configuration management, application version management, and the process of deploying and maintaining software.

This approach increases deployment safety, reduces the risk of uncontrolled changes, and facilitates system management at every stage of their life cycle.

The scope of work may include

  • software version management,
  • system configuration management,
  • documenting and tracking changes,
  • testing new application versions,
  • preparing test and production environments,
  • controlled deployment of updates,
  • maintenance and further application development.

AiuTwin – a digital view of the plant and its processes

AiuTwin is a Digital Twin platform developed by AIUT, integrating data from infrastructure, production systems, logistics, and automation. It makes it possible to create a digital view of selected objects, processes, or the entire production plant.

The digital twin can be updated with data acquired from real devices and systems, providing current insight into plant operations. It supports process monitoring, data analysis, and planning changes in the production environment.

Integration with RTLS solutions enables locating employees, vehicles, and other assets within the plant. Based on location data, virtual zones can be defined, warnings can be generated, and safety procedures can be supported. In justified cases, the system can also send a signal to automation, initiating a specific reaction, such as limiting movement or stopping a device.

AiuTwin can support the analysis of AMR robot traffic and other vehicles moving around the plant. Spatial and operational data helps assess route utilization, identify potential collision points, and plan the organization of internal transport.

The platform can work with tools for simulating production and logistics processes, including Plant Simulation and autonomous transport management systems. This allows planned changes to be analyzed before implementation. The enterprise can compare process organization variants, assess throughput, and identify potential constraints.

AiuTwin can integrate data from SCADA, MES, GIS, EPLAN, IIoT, and other sources used in the plant. It helps organize information about devices and installations and connect it with the appropriate objects. The solution architecture can take into account standards related to object structuring, technical documentation, and asset management, including IEC 81346, IEC 61355, and ISO 55000.
